I did a little bit of modding for the old Skyrim game but I'm not sure what I need for Fallout 4 and I get all of these mods through Nexus mods I presume?I just use Nexus Mod Manager with www.nexusmods.comto help with load order. It will do most of the heavy lifting, though you might have to go back and tweak a little bit if you're having problems. I'm running very stable at 139 mods (overheating aside, but laptop is getting older and it's summer in Arizona lol). And yea, mods through Nexus. I can link them all when I get home, but otherwise they should be easy to search. I think I did get Subway Runner through Bethesda's ingame mod forum though (it's still free), but NMM will let you sort those plugins as well.Edit: Looks like Subway Runner is on Nexus too:).

Fallout 4 Required Mods 1
If I load these mods on my current save will it whack it out and mess it all up since I'm running Vanilla? I'd like to get some mods to fix these dang bugs I'm having and stuff. I made a post about it on the forums earlier.
Then I found this post. Yep, grab NMM, download mods, then follow the directions to link LOOT to it and sort them.It shouldn't mess up your current save, but if you want you can always make a back up and store it separately in case you're worried you will have to reinstall the game. Can't hurt.If you have random crashes or any problems after installing stuff, I'd also be happy to look at your mods and load order to see if I can help.Lol just realized, missed the MOST essential mod - unofficial patch. Fixes all the bs Bethesda missed. Yeah what someone else posted on mine too was the unofficial patch lol.Flying scorpions for the win. Originally posted by:Not really. This game is not like FO3 that really needed a bunch of mods due to its age and changes to hardware. FO4 runs and looks good out of the box.Only use mods if you want. But you don't need them.
Fallout 4 Necessary Mods
Don't need mods, but they can personalize the game and give it longer life once you hit the 500 to 600 hour point. Enbs and texture packs will make it look better. There are nudity mods, weather mods. There are mods that add new areas to explore and new quests to do.
Mods give the game a second life. But as nomad said, they are not a must have for the game. I played 900 hours on the ps4 before i even considered modding the game. Originally posted by:wow.I have like, 6 mods, and they are basically just a couple of outfits and some extra musics.mainly because I'm worried my computer can't handle too many mods.but i'm always amazed when I see people have a list of like 300 mods or the first person here saying'i have 139 mods and I consider those barebones essential'like as if the game is unplayable without at least 100+ mods.
It is playable with zero mods. But getting mods is kind of like getting tattoos. Once you start, its hard to stop. As much as i love FAllout 4, there are things i hate about the game. Dialogue system, for one. And it doesn't look realistic enough for me.
And all the women aren't naked. So i get mods.
